I received a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Michigan State University, where I conducted research on the effect of ACE inhibitors on angiotensin signaling contributing to cystic fibrosis.  I was also an intern for the Dow Chemical Company, working on their anti-microbial peptide project.  My research in the Dalton lab focuses on the differing metabolic programs utilized by pluripotent stem cells and differentiated cells; and the regulatory networks that determine the mode of metabolism utilized by these cell types.
